GATEWAY has expanded its line of desktop personal computers for home and small business by using AMD Athlon processors.

The direct-sales computer company is offering Gateway Select 700 and Select 850 computers with Athlon 700MHz and 850MHz processors.

Features of the Select 850 include 128MB SDRAM, a VX700 17' monitor, 20GB hard drive and 8X DVD-ROM drive.

Both computer packages also feature Microsoft Works Suite 99, Windows 98 Second Edition, DVD Adventure Suite and a three-year desktop warranty. The Select 700 sells for $3499 and Select 850 for $4999.
